A Glorious Book

  The Word of God is an amazing book that we take for granted way too often. It collects dust on the shelf at home and it is put down out of boredom from reading. Sometimes we feel it is antiquated and not relevant to our culture here and now.

  The fact of the matter is, however, that the Bible is more relevant than any other work out there. It is only boring when our Spiritual life is starved and being strangled by our flesh. There are truths and blessings in the Word of God that He is just waiting to bestow upon us if we simply yield to it.

I Corinthians 2:9-10 – “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”

  Those verses are not talking about heaven but about what God wants to show us in His Word if we will love Him, obey Him, and keep sin out of our lives.

  God’s Word will transform your life into something better. It will take away the burdens of sin and its consequences if we will obey, it will teach us truths that will give us peace of mind, it will put us on the path to heaven’s glory, it will enable us to deal with people in a loving manner, it will get us through the tough times, it will give an everlasting joy, and I have not even scraped the surface yet. What other book in the world can do that? None!

  Don’t neglect the Word of God in your life because it will show you great and mighty things.
