I Just Want More

It always seems like we just need something more in life. We go through life and drive ourselves to get all the possessions that this world has to offer. We get hired for our dream job so we can purchase our dream car. We strive to buy our dream house and plan our dream vacation. We marry our dream spouse so we can have our dream children. Yet all these dreams we have only lead to bigger and better dreams we never seem to attain. Every dream we accomplish only satisfies for a brief period of time and then we want something more. We get the new IPhone only to have a better one come out. We get that new car only to have next year’s model blow it away. We get to the point of wondering, “Is this all life has to offer? It seems like there should be something better!”
The fact is that there is something so much better in this life and in the life to come. That “something better” is the Saviour. Jesus Christ, who died upon a cross for or sins and rose three days later is that something better. In this act of love He offers to us salvation as well as a life more abundant and free. He alone can give us a satisfaction and joy that is not dependent upon our possessions or circumstances, but upon His unfailing love and grace.
This life down here can be so much better when Christ comes into it and breathes the breath of life into your soul. He gives meaning, purpose, joy, love, security, and satisfaction like no other. Once you find Christ, your dreams are fulfilled, with no need for any other.
If you wish to learn of this Saviour, Jesus Christ, who loves you and wants to offer you salvation; I invite you to come to North Valley Baptist Church this Sunday. He will give you something better than this world has to offer … now in this life, and forever in eternity to come.

  1. As of now of year, individuals have a tendency to forget about their New Years resolutions. The reason is in all likelihood because of a man's ordinary propensities. Some function admirably, such as ensuring you brush your teeth when you get up and before you go to bed. Others are not all that great, such as missing a supper and after that pigging out later in the day. http://www.mordocrosswords.com/2016/11/one-looking-to-serve-mankind.html
